Does my health insurance cover me abroad?
Most US health plans have very limited or no coverage outside the country. Travel insurance covers international medical emergencies where your regular plan doesn't reach.
Does travel insurance cover cancellations for COVID or weather?
It depends on the plan. COVID is generally covered if you contract the virus before the trip. Weather cancellations are covered if the plan includes weather event disruption. The CFAR option covers cancellations for any reason.
